This mini course taught by Adi Amar is being offered as an online self study course for novices and adepts, or anyone on the path to becoming a yoga teacher. You may apply ten hours towards a 200 or 500 hour Yoga Teacher Certification accredited by Yoga Alliance. CEU’s are also available, all from the comfort of your own home (or wherever there's an internet connection)!
Your Guide Adi Amar
Adi Amar was introduced to yoga in 1994 and has been studying and practicing yoga sincerely since the age of 15 and teaching for over 20 years! An experienced registered yoga teacher at the 500+ level, Adi believes that consistent practice with gentle open awareness is the window into reorganizing old mental patterns and tendencies that have been knowingly or unknowingly ingrained into how we operate and experience life. She counts pranayama and meditation as her go to practices for fully experiencing the sweetness of life pulsing through each of us.
You'll learn by experiencing these three yogic tools:
SADHANA
Each of the ten daily practice videos starts with sadhana (or spiritual practice) that includes light asana to warm up the body, breath work instruction, and meditation journeys to balance.
PRANAYAMA
You'll experience and explore breathing exercises including the Four Purifications, Pratyahara, Ujjayi and Viloma pranayama to settle, calm and harmonize your being.
MEDITATION
You'll be introduced to different meditation techniques to add to your toolkit including Metta, Guided Visualizations, Sushumna, Mantra and Breath meditations.
